Each and every year, our consultants must pass the REC’s mandatory compliance test. This is to ensure that we conduct ourselves ethically and adhere to best practice.

Why should I choose a REC accredited recruitment agency?

Did you know that anyone can start up a recruitment company? You don’t require any specific qualifications or experience. As a client looking to grow your team, this means you could potentially be exposing yourself to the risk of a significant loss of time and/or money if you place your trust in the wrong Recruiter!

Fortunately in the UK there is a professional body for the staffing industry called the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC). The role of this organisation is to accredit and support credible and compliant agencies. To become a member of the REC an agency needs to successfully pass the REC compliance test on an annual basis, this requires all of the company’s consultants to demonstrate a sound understanding of the REC Code of Professional Practice, a knowledge of relevant industry legislation whilst also ensuring they make a commitment to high ethical standards.

Not everybody passes…..

In 2015, the REC released figures stating there were 193 agencies who were denied membership because they fell short of the required compliance standards.
