Principle Responsibilities

To maximise company profitability by managing top level relationships with our National Wholesaler partners and Wholesaler Groups within the region and day to day management of a team of sales representatives – team consisting of 5-6 ASM’s.

To efficiently manage Team and resources available to hit agreed company targets for new and existing business in new and existing sectors.

  • To cascade objectives to team then measure and review against agreed targets
  • To ensure all tools are available to External Sales Team to enable them to make the ‘Perfect Sales Call’ every time
  • To spend time in the field with each member of the team to coach and support the External Team in their daily duties
  • To create tailored personal improvement training plans for External Sales Team, to implement and review plans
  • To interview and select new team members
  • To ensure every customer has and understands a clear written terms of trading
  • To create and maintain contact list / plan / frequency
  • To understand what makes each customer successful and tailor contact to meet customer needs
  • To fully research and understand what is needed deliver the ‘perfect sales call’ every time
  • To ensure every customer has and understands a clear written terms of trading
  • To feedback market intelligence to Field Sales Manager
  • To manage Escalation / Feedback / Training process for customer issues and complaints

Ideal Candidate

  • You will be an experienced ‘People Manager’ with a proven track record of leading a team to achieve and exceed set targets.
  • It is preferred that you will have experience of LED Lighting technology, however the company is open to considering candidates from different backgrounds who sell into the same types of customer.
  • The successful candidate will need exceptional communication skills (both verbal & written) – allowing them to communicate with others within their team at all levels.
  • In addition to the above you will be a strong motivator – possessing the drive and passion to succeed in what is a fast paced, exciting sales environment.
